About the generals
The Joystick Generals were born out of a lifelong love for video games. We’ve always lived and loved this industry and always wanted to step in and make a mark of our own, and the wonderful device that is the iPhone has been our platform to do just that!
Growing up during the golden age of the Spectrum and Commodore, gives both of us a retro soul, and we believe that retro gaming influences are what will make our games have something extra special at their core.
We love all things old school, and grew up with some of the greatest games ever created, and its these masterpieces that have inspired us to go forth and create some magic of our own. We’re not about massive, all consuming, super deep, drawn out games, we’re all about addictive, quick play, fun, and very highly polished games! With each game we make we want to entertain the player, let you have fun with our titles and see that we love creating them as much as you’ll enjoy playing them! We also love a little stupidity too, so you can expect a dash of playful insanity in every game!
We hope you enjoy our games and would love to hear from you if you have any feedback, be good or bad, we want to hear it all!!! After all, it’s the feedback from our players that will ultimately make our games great!

Morning! I'm Chris, the Joystick Generals Geek (yes I admit it..). In a mis-spent youth, I skipped the early consoles and took a happy little detour through handheld games like pacman2 before moving on to Parsec and TI Invaders on the TI-994a. Â It didn't take long playing games like manic miner (6031769) and jetpac on the Spectrum to realise that I wanted to be building these things - but it was FTL's Dungeon Master that convinced me to move up a notch. Fast forward a number of years of software dev to a conversation with a particularly creative bloke somewhere around here - and here we all are!
I'm also the owner of abitofcode.com, developing new media and clever- ass interactive content for a wide range of clients - web, publishing, educational and games.
Creative - Michael Heald
Hey there, I'm Mike, the creative half of the Joystick Generals! Â I've been obsessed with the games industry since I was about 12, where you would always find me behind my Sega or in an arcade, and in truth, little has changed ;) Â I'd always dreamed of having my own games company, so when Chris and I got talking, we both thought 'you know what, we can do this!' so together we set out and formed what you see here today.
I'm also the owner of Fully Illustrated, a small new media agency that works almost exclusively with the games industry.  If your into your Indie  and iPhone games, you may have seen some of the projects I've been involved with.  I was the Creative Director for Thunder Game Works on the top 10 best seller, Trenches, as well as creating the UI for games like Touch KO and on websites for games such as Fieldrunners and Battle Blasters.  So as you'll see, I love to get involved on just about every level :)
I'm really looking forward to bringing more and more games to the world, as plain and simply, I just bloomin love it!
